Burton Kickboxing Academy Representing Team England
Four members of Burton Kickboxing Academy will be representing our country in Rome in October at the I.S.K.A European Kickboxing Championships. Club coach Chris Squirrell, Jonnie Squirrell and Sophie Simnett will be representing England for the second year on the run. Each member came back last year with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and hope to do the same this year.The fourth member Sophie Barnett earned selection by way of impressing at Team England Squad Training.
In Rome, Chris Squirrell will be competing in the -75kg Master's category. British champion Sophie Simnett, 19,is entered in the ladies-63kg, while 16-year-old Sophie Barnett will contest the junior -59kg category. Finally 10 year old British champion Jonnie "The Dodger" Squirrell, is competing in the -35 kilo division.
